I am descended from the Readys of Wolverhampton and Lichfield and the Banks and Spencers of Bilston.  Ready & Son were brassfounders in Bilston St, Wolverhampton while Thomas Ready was Mayor of Lichfield in 1846.  The Banks were iron and coal masters in Bilston while the Spencers were iron and brass founders also in Bilston.

I am interested therefore in the life and times of these families in Wolverhampton, Lichfield and Bilston from about 1750 to 1880.
