1601 Thomas Dovey of Bridgnorth beqeaths to the poor of Quatt £5 with which premises are to be bought in Pound St Bridgnorth and the rents to go to the poor of Quatt. In 1759 the parish of Quatt was possessed of premises in the Parish of Worfield. In 1802 the premises were disposed of and the proceeds invested, the interest to go to the poor of the parish. In 1852 George Green of Bridgnorth gave to the poor of the parish for ever £220 stock, for the purchase of loaves of bread to be distributed at the door of the church to the poor attending. If there was good reason for their not attending - sickness, old age or other lawful impediments the poor might still qualify for the bread.
