The summer of 1935 is described by the vicar . the choir outing report was written By Henry Seedhouse and the Brownie outing by Jean Turner,The recreation Room and Ackleton rooms are talked of and there is a most interesting article about Chelmsford and an even more interesting one about the fire which destroyed the malt houses at Ackleton Road widening at Hilton and the new bridge has made for a less attractive village. A testing quiz is set in December. The workhouse is still operating and an evening's entertainmnet is planned
