In April 1941 the first of the evacuees arrive in Worfield, twenty four children from Wallasey, with their teacher. Mrs Cunliffe from Bradeney has taken over as billeting officer. The Worfield and Ackleton Sunday Schools are to close for the time being bit Bromley, Hilton and Roughton will continue. At the WI, Mrs Milton is talking on ‘My activities in Wartime.’
