Mary and Joseph Kirkland with their eldest son, Frederick Joseph who was born in 1894. He went into the Royal Flying Corps and was a Sergeant Mechanic. He married Florence Edge and died in 1926 of a brain tumour. There was one child, a girl. Florence married George Frederick Wootton in 1929.
