This snippet from the Express and Star was in the photo album of Sir Oliver Leese and dates from 1938 although the precise date is not known. Some of the characters of the village are interviewed and the old landlord of the Dog, George Reynolds is described. He certainly did sound an eccentric. Mrs Onions and William Jones the sexton feature in the article. Worfield Mill is still functioning producing animal feeds.
