There was an accident in the parish. Richard Newton has died as a result.

Queen Victoria died on 2nd February 1901.

Colonel Morrison died 29th January 1901 after a short illness of 18 weeks

there are several cases of scarlet fever

William Instone who is blind - blinded by a hot iron, needs more trade. He is a basket maker

Richard Wilson from Ackleton died in March (16th) and all 40/50 workmen lined up the church path as the coffin passed by.

Mr and Mrs Davenport return home.

Sidney Wilson was at the Easter Vestry Meeting to persuade parishioners to support the church and its vicar.

Morally the parish seems to be in a bit of a state. The vicar writes on the text, "Thou shalt not commit adultery." (June 1901)

Frank Marindin died on foreign service

The population of Worfield has gone down to 1425 from 1613 ten years ago. I assume the 1425 is from 1901 and the higher figure from 1891
