A most interesting postcard, partly because it is dated - 1912 and partly because of the history of the house which it reveals. The sign above the door says that parties are catered for and cyclists. The golden age of cycling. Would it were like that today! The writer of the card - were they staying at Westholme, working there, helping with the harvest or had they just popped in for a cup of tea? Who knows. And who is the woman by the glasshouse? Sender's name isn't given but it is sent to Fred Meakin
