Evan Pugh, aged 40, of Rindleford Mill, had gone to Bridgnorth Market on Saturday last and was seen making his way home between eight and nine o’clock. It was a dark night and he never returned home. His wife went looking for him the next morning and made every enquiry but in vain. On Monday the Brook was dragged and his body recovered. He was found drowned in the Worfe Brook not far from his home. Mr Pugh was in business as a miller with his step father William Powell.
