John Rowelowe as executors of Alice, mother of the aforesaid John and Alice are to sell [the property] and the money from the said messuage and land to be given for the spirit of Alice’s family, her children, kinsmen and friends and for the spirits of all the faithful deceased and for those to be betrothed and distributed between poor men and women in greatest need and in other charitable gifts. And the said John the son gave to the lord a fine of 20s and made fealty to the lord and thence had seisin. And the said Alice daughter of the said Alice came and had seisin in one messuage and one virgate of land in Stapulford. And she gave to the lord 20s for a fine, made fealty and had seisin
