I am very interested in the Devey surname. I am from the "Wirral Deveys" who arrived on the Wirral peninsula just before 1900. Bearing in mind that the first mention I can find of any Deveys is around 1300 in Pattingham, Staffs, the Devey migration northwards was extremely slow!
